Mindful Movement for Scoliosis 

Spines with scoliosis are not a uniform structure and do not move consistently. Consequently, many traditional exercises dismiss the unique needs of scoliosis, particularly scoliosis with fusions. Heavy weights, deep twists, bends, and high-impact or high-intensity exercises put the spine in a vulnerable position, increasing the risk of pain or injury.

Functional strength training is highly beneficial for scoliosis because it builds muscular support around the spine (posterior chain), creating a stable, supportive "brace," and stabilising curves.
